We are very excited to announce that our students will have the opportunity to participate in our Sports Business Pathway, beginning in the fall of 2019. The students will have the choice of following five different pathways in the sports industry, including Sports Journalism/Broadcasting, Sports Management, Sports Marketing, Sports Medicine and Coaching. The Sports Business Pathway is an exciting introduction into a multi-billion dollar industry with endless opportunities. This unique pathway gives students a chance to explore an industry that works behind the scenes to make teams successful.
These Pathways will lead them into an exciting career in the business of sports. They will have an opportunity to have an internship during their senior year in their chosen pathway. There are many life skills they will learn throughout their years in high school along with having a possible career straight out of high school. They will learn leadership skills, collaboration, effective communication, problem solving and interacting with professionals. They will build self-confidence, self-worth and self-discipline.
Students will experience a unique hands-on approach and understanding of how this industry operates. A love of sports can transform into an amazing career. In addition, students will have access to professional and collegiate sports programs and industries. The Sports Business Pathway can provide students an endless and sustainable career in the sports profession. You do not have to be an athlete to be a part of this exciting industry.
We will also be incorporating A Stronger Cord with our Sports Business Pathway, and our students will run the program. The three goals of A Stronger Cord are to be more fit, more connected and more giving. A Stronger Cord focuses on exercise as a great connector and equalizer to bring the community together. We know the importance of coming together and encouraging one another to stay focused on being fitness-minded, dependable and productive. A Stronger Cord is dedicated to uplifting lives through community, camaraderie and change. The movement toward improving physical, emotional and spiritual health starts with strengthening our connections.
